Character Biographies: BL-17 For some reason BL-17 has become one of my favorite characters from Droids. Why is it? Is it because he's Boba Fett's droid? Is it because of his look? It's probably a mix of both! BL-17 is one character who is certainly worthy of a little more attention in the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Hey, if Boba is supposed to be in the live action TV series that takes place around the same time period as Droids, then why not BL-17? We can hope! Hasbro Rumor List This rumor list was actually posted way back in April by Rebelscum.com, but it's it's still a cool one! All of these would be basic figures based on their appearances in the comics. Character Biographies: Skiff Droid There's not a whole lot that can be said about this droid other than he appears during the opening credits piloting a skiff that resembles the ones that belong to Jabba the Hutt. Ebay Today: Kubrick Wicket This is one of the few modern Ewoks collectibles made since the 1980's. This Wicket is a repaint of Kubrick's Return of the Jedi figure, but only this time he was given a color scheme to more closely resemble his appearance in Ewoks. Character Biographies: Weechee Weechee here was very nearly an action figure back in the 80's. Character Biographies: Vlix Vlix is the tough guy appointed by Sise Fromm to watch over Sise's son Tig. Even though Vlix and Tig are partners in crime throughout the whole Thall Joben storyline, they are not friends, and Vlix would like nothing better than to see the younger Fromm silenced by his father. New Droids and Ewoks figures? This question was asked to Hasbro by Sandtroopers.com. QUESTION: First of all, I
would just like to say that I really liked the vintage line and I hope
that you will be bringing it back soon. Now for the question. Over the
past couple Q&A's there have been questions from various sites about
new figures from the Ewoks and Droids TV series. I agree that I would
like to see some of these, but I understand that they probably wouldn't
appeal to everyone. Since you said that they wouldn't be in a basic
figure line, could these possibly work better in a Vintage line? I may
be wrong here, but I'm guessing that the appeal of the vintage line is
mostly to older collectors who remember buying figures back in the '70's
and '80's, but not so much to kids because of the higher pricepoint and
not having the nostalgia factor for them. Vintage could also be a good
place to release a few figures from some of the other TV shows like the
Ewok movies and maybe some cantina aliens from the Holiday Special. All
of these would be figures that would appeal a lmost exclusively to adult
collectors, so what better place to put them than in an EU branch of the
Vintage line! But if you don't think this could work, could you please
give us a hint as to where these kinds of figures could possibly appear

Ebay Today: Droids DVD Four years ago Droids was finally released on DVD. Well, some of it that is. This set does not include the Thall Joben story line or the Great Heap special, and some of the episodes that are included have been altered. Character Biographies: Paploo Paploo here seems to be a far cry from the Ewok that we saw in Return of the Jedi, at least in looks. But his brash attitude in stealing an Imperial speeder bike does bear similarities to the 'showoff' Paploo of the animated series. To see more Ewoks or Droids bios, check out the link on the left! Character Biographies: Tig Fromm Tig made for a great villain in the first Droids story arc. Tig was always accompanied by his father Sise's strongman Vlix who would keep a watchful eye over Tig's antics. Unfortunatly for the Fromm gang, Tig's evil schemes to please his father and show his worth were always foiled by his own incompetence, which eventually led to the downfall of the entire gang at the hands of Boba Fett. Character Biographies: Malani Malani's first appearance occurred in the book The Adventures of Teebo: A Tale of Magic and Suspense. This book was released in 1984, a year before the Ewoks cartoon first aired! Malani is a little bit younger that the core characters of the series, and often finds herself left out of their circle. Ebay Today: Leonardo DiCaprio's Boba Fett Here's quite the find on Ebay. It seems that Leonardo DiCaprio was a fan of Droids! A few years back he sold off all of his old Star Wars collection, and now his old Boba Fett figure is up for sale on Ebay! Think that you might like to add this one to your collection? Pirate TIE Fighter: Previews Exclusive Notice any similarities between this recently announced Pirate TIE Fighter and the picture on the right? That's a picture from Droids of a TIE from the pirate Kybo-Ren's fleet! While it's an amazing similarity, this new fighter is actually based on it's appearance in the Star Wars: Empire comics.
